Time-of –Use Metering and AMS-9000:

PowerOneData’s advanced metering infrastructure solution AMS-9000, provides industry leading TOU metering options, standard with every AMS-9000 metering end-point.

As a tier-one Demand Response offering, well designed time-of-use rates can go a long way towards achieving the goals of reducing and shifting electric load during high-cost production periods. In addition to reshaping load, TOU can also more fairly compensate utilities during these costly periods.

AMS-9000 provides our utility customers with a simple and affordable means of administering Time-of-Use rates. All AMS-9000 metering end-points can be programmed to provide a nearly limitless array of TOU options. Our unique system allows our customers to easily re-configure individual meters or groups of meters, facilitating the design and implementation of tailored time-based rates.

Each meter retains all TOU billing components perpetually. At PowerOneData we DO NOT believe that relying on communications systems to collect and reassemble meter data into TOU bins is an acceptable practice. Customers should be billed from metering components derived from, and stored on, the ANSI compliant metering platform itself.

AMS-9000 meters consist of PowerOneData’s industry leading advanced metering and communications technologies integrated with industry accepted metrology platforms.

AMS-9000 meters are compatible with emerging critical peak pricing plans. Our AMS-Web tools allow users a safe and straight forward means of maintaining and distributing a

multitude of new rate plans as they are developed.
